Following the launch of a Russian national program to encourage public-private cooperation entitled “Biotechnological Development in Russia in 2006-2015," bioclusters have rapidly expanded in several Russian regions. The program has provided additional support to the Russian biotechnology industry by creating special economic zones for innovative biotechnology, further developing biotechnoparks, expanding biosafety and nanotechnology industries, and establishing biotechnology investment and venture funds. The program will include the participation of one of Russia’s leading bioeducation experts, as well as a representative of the Russian state nanotechnology company (Rosnano) and others.
:
1. Explore opportunities for international cooperation in the expanding bioclusters of key Russian regions.
2. Discuss the key developments and opportunities for international cooperation in bioeducation.
3. Interact with the leading Russian companies that have developed on-the-ground expertise in bionanotechnology applications.
